A Little History
Facial and Bodyworks, Inc is my little paradise and garden spa for esthetics right in the middle of the old town of Huntersville, NC.
I - Biggi - grew up in the famous spa-city of Wiesbaden (Germany) where the ancient Romans cultivated the healing properties of the 26 hot thermal wells coming out of the ground still to this day. Patients use these thermal waters to bathe in as a cure for arthritis and rheumathism. Therefore is makes it almost logical that I was interested in spa treatments.
Originally I was trained and worked as a PA in Germany for 15 years before my move to the US. My medical knowledge still comes in handy in my line of work as an esthetician today.
I started my business in 1992 right after I immigrated to the US.
In 1993 my husband and friends built me a home based mini spa in our back yard. It's just lovely and so quaint that clients sometimes come early to just "hang out".
I love and enjoy my work as an esthetician very much. My clients tell me that I have "magic fingers" and I could not ever imagine to do anything else anymore.
My husband Steve grew up here in North Carolina. He is a real estate agent/broker with Liz Pierce Real Estate.
